Until now, properly integrating a Garmin GPS on a BMW often involved compromises between control and mounting. This adapter solves the problem: it connects the zūmo XT2, XT3, XT3S, or Tread 2 Powersport directly to the original navigation preparation, including power supply and control via the multifunction wheel (Wonder Wheel), without additional mounts or external wiring.
Controlling your Garmin with the BMW wheel: what the adapter allows
Once installed, the adapter allows assigning main navigation functions to the multifunction wheel while maintaining full access to the Garmin's touchscreen. If your F 450 GS is not equipped with a multifunction wheel, the GPS can still be used normally via its touchscreen, without loss of functionality.

Does this adapter work with both the old and new BMW navigation preparation?
Yes, it is compatible with both the older manually lockable navigation preparation and the new electrically lockable version.
Can the Garmin be locked once the adapter is installed?
Yes, provided you add the separately sold locking adapter (reference 21189-102), which is only compatible with the manually lockable navigation preparation.
Do I need to add an additional mount to fix the Garmin?
No, the adapter plugs directly into the original BMW navigation preparation, without additional mounts or wiring.
Does the adapter work if my F 450 GS doesn't have a multifunction wheel?
Yes, the Garmin remains fully usable via its touchscreen in this case. Only wheel control will not be available, without affecting the adapter's other functions.
How long does it take to install the adapter?
